Man, can you believe these guys at Callaway! After just releasing the Callaway Diablo Edge line of golf clubs, they take their famous X series of golf irons and put the latest, newest, HOTTEST technology into them and bring us the X24 irons.
My buds here at CallawayReviewer have all been playing their Diablo Edge Irons for the past few months and all I’ve heard was how great they are and how I should get me a set. Daryl(one of our reviewers) has been playing the forged version of the Diablo and he is ecstatic with their performance and playability and rubs it in my nose every chance that he gets.
I’ve been secretly longing to purchase some new irons, but had heard through the grapevine that the Callaway X-24 was being released soon. I am so glad that I waited. The word that I got from some friends of mine on the ‘inside’ was that the X24 was going to be the best iron available on the market this year. They had the opportunity to try the new irons out before they were released and were both extremely excited about them.
According to Callaway Golf, the new irons feature technologies that make them the iron to get, especially if you are an X fan as I am. The X24s feature a new face technology that they call VFT. This feature makes the clubface extremely responsive. I’m talking lonnnnnggggg. The feel of the ball coming off of this face is something that you have to experience for yourself. If you get a chance to hit one at your local golf shop, DO IT! You won’t be disappointed.
As with all of the Callaway X series irons, these clubs feature perimeter weighting that will help those that don’t hit the ball perfect every time keep the ball on the target line. The Callaway X 24 gets the ball up in the air easily with a nice, boring trajectory. And of course, the X24 comes with the bore through hosel, which make Callaway’s clubs’ feel extraordinary.
Okay, I’m going to be honest with you and let you know what really turned me on to these irons. I absolutely love the look of these. Just take a look at the picture above. They look like a BMW would if it were a golf club. I don’t know what they did with the finish, but it’s a thing of pure beauty. And of course, Callaway Golf came up with a cool name for it. Stealth PVD Finish, or Dark Physical Vapor Deposition Finish. I hope that all club manufacturers will take a look at putting this finish on all the irons.
The only thing that I don’t like about my new Callaway X-24 irons is that I have to hit the ground with them. Seriously, have you ever bought something that you just cherish and don’t want to abuse? That’s how I feel about these irons.
So, since I’m here to help you find the best deal on the X-24 iron, I’ll let you know that you can pick them up at your local pro shop or get them for the best price here.

Callaway golf is always a leader in golf technology. With the release of the Callaway Diablo Edge Forged Irons, they have proven that a forged iron can be made that is usable by the average golfer. Let me tell you why you should get your hands on a set of the beauties as soon as possible.
I’ve been playing with a set of irons that I settled on for the past seven years. Before that, I had an old set of Wilson Staffs that I absolutely loved.Unfortunately, golf clubs(especially grooves) don’t last forever.
Ever since my wife bought me a new driver and 3 wood for Christmas last year, I began a search for a set of irons that I would really like. I spent the last few months going to stores and trying to find the right set. I decided to purchase the Diablo Forged. These babies are sweeeet!
Since I play to a 6 handicap, I can strike the ball pretty good most of the time. When I played with my old set of forged irons the good shot felt really good. There’s nothing like the feel of a well struck iron shot off of a forged iron. But OUCH! Mishit it, and you could feel the vibrations all the way to the teeth. And, the lost of distance was alway something to be reckoned with.
That’s why I love my new set of Callaway Diablo Forged Irons. The well struck shot feels like butter, but the mishits are not brutal at all and I hardly lose any distance at all. I also hit my irons 10 yards farther across the set.
Here’s why I think you should get them asap. I have a friend that I play with all of the time that shoots in the mid-90’s. He plays a set of Pings that I’ve hit before. They are pretty nice. I decided to try an experiment with him. Since he’s a lot younger than I am, I knew that he had never hit a set of forged irons before. I let him hit a few shots, and he was really impressed. So impressed that when we played a couple of weeks later, he had a new set of Callaway Diablo Edge Irons in his bag.
If they can impress an average golfer like him so much that he rushed out to buy them, I think they will benefit you too. That’s why I wrote this review of the Callaway Diablo Edge Irons. They are impressive.
Callaway Diablo Edge Forged Irons Best Price: $897.00
Reviews:
“The Diablo Forged Irons from Callaway are Amazing! They cost a little more, but worth every penny. Money well-spent.”
“Large sweet spot unbelieveable how far and straight toe hits go. I’m a little undecided how I like the hollow cavity back as it does collect dirt and grass, the pitching wedge however has the cavity filled in. With that said I would not trade these for any other club.”
“Callaway did an outstanding job with these irons and I am very pleased with my purchase.”
“Wow what a difference these clubs have made. The Titleist’s were always a little hard to hit well. The Diablo Forged are much more forgiving. They have an extremely high ball flight and they also spin pretty good.”
